Reminder: Nominations for Elections Close August 28 at Noon!

In October 2023, registered opticians will elect registrants in District 1 ( Southern), District 5 (Toronto), and District 8 (Central) to serve as members of the College of Opticians of Ontario’s board of directors from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026. Board directors say that participating in self-regulation and protecting the public is a rewarding experience that provides personal and professional growth. If you are interested in using your knowledge and skill in the interest of public protection, this might be for you.

How do I seek nomination?

Visit the elections page for all of the details on the nominations process. Nominations must be received by Monday August 28, 2023. Submit your completed nomination package by email to elections@collegeofopticians.ca. Please note that candidates for election must be available via zoom on September 6, for an interview with the College’s Screening Committee.
