Peer and Practice Assessment

The College’s QA Program allows for a peer assessor to be appointed to assess a registrant’s practice, including the registrants knowledge, skills and judgement.

Peer and Practice Assessments (PPA) are an in-depth practice assessment comprised of a behavior-based interview, a chart review and a premise inspection. Registrants who have been selected for a PPA will receive a notice at least 14 days before the assessment begins.

A registrant will be referred for a PPA if:

  • They failed to submit or fully complete their professional portfolio.
  • They are selected based on other criteria specified by the QA Committee.
